Gas Turbine Auxiliary Operator (Combined Cycle)
The gas turbine combined cycle auxiliary operators are the plant operators that generally remain out in the plant and ensure proper operation of all equipment in a variety of systems. It is generally the auxiliary operator who can detect problems in a plant by the use of his/her senses, such as sound, smell, touch, and sight. A general knowledge of all systems is required to be a good qualified auxiliary operator. The courses listed below are designed to prepare the individual for the certification examinations. Some of the courses are not required, although an examination is required in each area.
CT301 - Combined Cycle Fundamentals
M306 - Centrifugal Pumps
E200 - Electrical Fundamentals
M205 - Maintaining Mechanical Systems
Gas Turbine Control Room Operator
Control room operators are plant operators that take control of the equipment on the operational basis from the control room. It is the responsibility of the control room operator, to operate the plant in a safe efficient manner. They must ensure proper operation at all times and answer any abnormal situations, and maintain plant output at the direction of the system controllers. The courses listed below are designed to prepare the individual for the certification examinations. Some of the courses are not required, although an examination is required in each area.
